Only Four More Weeks!

Well, yesterday was 1 week since Lance left. It seems so much longer than that. We have 4 more weeks to go. Everything is going great and I have no complaints. We just miss him!

We are just staying busy. We have soccer practice on Mondays and Fridays. Then they have their games on Saturdays. We have 45 minutes of homework everyday, etc. It has been easier to keep them on a schedule since Lance is gone. I guess because they don't have him to wrestle with, etc. The weekends are little more challenging right now for me. Just because we are trying to sell our house. You never know when realitors will call saying they want to show the house. It is busier with that on the weekends. We can't be at the house, so it was crazy this past weekend just trying to find things to do during those times.

We did have one incident that happened during the week. I took the boys outside to practice soccer. Camden kept wanting to take breaks. So Connor went and locked the back door so he wouldn't go back in. He wasn't really thinking about us not having a key and that the other doors were locked. He just knew he was keeping Camden outside to play with him. The best part about it was I had my PJ pants on and my boys were outside in their underwear and tennis shoes. We were just going to be in our back yard for about 45 minutes with no one else around. My mind freaked out just for a few minutes. Erin was in down town Houston and was planning on staying with a friend that night. I had no choice but to call her. She wasn't able to get home for about hour 1/2 later. I wasn't saying anything, but I guess Connor saw that my face wasn't too happy. Connor said "it is not the end of the world". That was little Amanda during a moment trying to encourage Lance when things like that happen. It was funny and I said you are right. At least we have Erin to help us. If she didn't live in Houston, we would be in trouble. It wasn't a big deal except it got me off my schedule that I had been keeping so well. Thank the Lord I didn't have to walk to neighbor's houses in my PJs and my two boys in their underwear. That would have not been fun for me! ha!

Lance is doing great at training. He is learning so much and working from 5am-6 or 7pm at night. When he gets back to his room, he then has to study books or videos for the test the next day. So he is working hard! He calls me everyday telling me how amazed and blown away he is at the root and foundation of Chick-fil-A. He spent the weekend at the Chick-fil-A WindShaped Retreat Center. He said he got to see where all of Chick-fil-A money goes to. It goes to help the Chick-fil-A Foster home, marriage retreat Center, etc. The ministry opportunity with Chick-fil-A is huge! We love that we will be working for a company where the money goes to fostering kids, impacting people, putting marriages back together, etc. That is so mine and Lance's heart. Lance was very excited talking about it! We feel so blessed to be apart of what God is doing through Chick-fil-A. Lance got to meet Truett Cathy and his wife Saturday. I want to meet them so bad. I just think they are so cool. I just love their hearts for impacting people's lives.

For those of you who do not know, we will be moving the end of October. Please pray for us as we try to sell our house. Also, just for the transition and changing schools for our boys. We appreciate your prayers. Just wanted to give you a quick update on everything.
